Guest guest
*A message for 'Cartier' & other 'Elephant Polo Sponsors' from someone special:* http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/857409235#signatures #614 Susan McCauley, New York: " As a gemologist/former fine gold artisan and as Director of Development for Animal World USA-International, I request that you withdraw all sponsorship for 'elephant polo' and any other format that subjects animals to suffering for the sport or pleasure of humans. For all the beauty of Cartier jewels, they will not confer upon the wearer the proper gift of creative appreciation, if they are in any way aligned with the bringing of suffering to the animals that are so frequently modeled. I request that you withdraw your sponsorship of 'elephant polo' now and forever. " *Thank you Susan for lending your voice and standing 'United against Elephant Polo' !* *You will be glad to know that since the November 2006 'Cartier Cup Elephant Polo Tournament' the Jewellery Giant has stayed away from organising any further 'Elephant Polo' tournaments in India or anywhere in the world.* * * Dear all at AAPN, Susan has studied and worked in the fields of education, social work, gemology, jewellery, spirituality and alternative health/life consulting. While Susan does hold several degrees and certificates, one of her truly greatest gifts is bringing people together for the greater good. Susan believes that an open mind and a willingness to pursue one’s vision in collaboration with others built on respect for all life is key to a better world for all of us. Advancing animal welfare and educating communities as to the importance of preserving the biodiversity of life are her primary goals. Susan often says, “wisdom lies beyond fear.” She resides in New York City and is a member of a flock that includes a free-flighted Timneh African Grey parrot and two rescued older cats.
