Guest guest
PETA Asia [newsmanager] Wednesday, April 07, 2010 6:02 AM Breaking Investigation: Indonesia's Cold-Blooded Secret Dear , Watch the Video Now! http://www.petaasiapacific.com/feature-IndonesiasExoticSkins.asp PETA went undercover to document Indonesia's thriving exotic-skins industry. What we found was shocking and gut-wrenching. Stolen from their jungle homes, snakes are decapitated and skinned alive. Video footage shows skinless, headless snakes writhing and twitching in a pile. Because of their slow metabolism, many suffer for hours or even days until they finally die. Others slowly suffocate to death. Lizards have their throats cut; afterward, many continue to struggle to breathe. Farmed crocodiles are kept in filthy, crowded tanks and then beaten to death. Like other reptiles, they're often skinned alive. The suffering of animals who are killed for their skins is heartbreaking, but just being sad doesn't help them—they need us to take action. Please help us call attention to the horrors endured by animals who are killed for the exotic-skins trade by forwarding this information to your friends and family members and telling everyone you know about the cruelty of this industry. Together, we can help the lizards, snakes, crocodiles, and countless other individual animals who are suffering for the exotics-skins trade in Indonesia and around the world.
