Guest guest
Hi. I can relate with what you undergo as vegetarian. Wherever you go where non-vegetarians undergo feelings of " being different " causes varied reactions. I have psyched myself from the time that I made the choice that vegetarianism is my personal discipline, and, I take responsibility for my food --- others find it difficult that they can't feed me " just whatever is available " at home or even in restaurants. Eating is very much a " social thing where you break bread and share " to enjoy. Thus, I choose where to go and who to enjoy eating with. It's different with family and friends who may be set in their ways. I just accept them and love them and hope that they feel the same way towards me even with the changed food choices I have. And yes, I always bring my own food, enough to share sometimes, so that they don't get worried and I avoid being nagged about my choice. That way, less conflict and when they taste more of my food, they accept (or at least understand!) my choices. Keep well and happy.
