Hi. I can relate with what you undergo as vegetarian. Wherever you go where

non-vegetarians undergo feelings of " being different " causes varied reactions. I

have psyched myself from the time that I made the choice that vegetarianism is

my personal discipline, and, I take responsibility for my food --- others find

it difficult that they can't feed me " just whatever is available " at home or

even in restaurants. Eating is very much a " social thing where you break bread

and share " to enjoy. Thus, I choose where to go and who to enjoy eating with.

It's different with family and friends who may be set in their ways. I just

accept them and love them and hope that they feel the same way towards me even

with the changed food choices I have. And yes, I always bring my own food,

enough to share sometimes, so that they don't get worried and I avoid being

nagged about my choice. That way, less conflict and when they taste more of my

food, they accept (or at least

understand!) my choices. Keep well and happy. Ofel
