Guest guest
I know this reply is late, but I loved the responses to this question so far--it made me yearn for a baked spud with something good on it! I like chopped mushrooms--either " raw " or sauteed & seasoned. Great on top of baked potatoes! Finely-shredded sharp cheddar cheese with a HOT potato is good, and I love " snipped " chives! In a pinch, like in a restaurant, I ask for extra SALAD dressing--it tastes great on a potato--ranch, honey-mustard, (especially!) poppy seed dressing. I've even drizzled French dressing on the potato--just about any flavor is good. Coleslaw is good for a topper, too--I think someone already mentioned it. Broccoli--I love that the most of all, but I like it best when it's steamed, but not too raw-tasting. (I know, they all say that " crisp-tender " is the best for broccoli, but I like the FLAVOR of " medium-well " instead! Still bright green, but just a little more tender than crisp-tender! On potatoes--it's fabulous! --Laura B., in Illinois
