If you want to search for recipes you have to go to the messages page (see link

at left side of home page) rather than use the search function on the group

home page.  You will see a search function at the top of the messages page. 

If you click on 'advanced' you can search on known factors such as the name the

person who posted, the date (or approximate date) it was posted, on the title of

the post or on specific word/s in the message body.

 

Alternatively, if you are looking for a specific recipe, you can go to the files

section (see link on the home page) then click on 'recipes' in the list of

files (it's right at the top of the list).  You can then browse through the

relevant files.  Some of the files are for particular categories of recipes (eg

- soups, salads, crock pot, breakfast), some are for regional dishes (eg -

Indian, Asian) and others are for specific ingredients (eg - zucchini, carrots,

greens).
