Guest guest
I preheat the oven with the stone in there... When oven is preheated I sprinkle a little cornmeal on the stone. Then I stretch my dough and put it on the stone. I let it cook for 10 minutes until the crust is puffy and not doughy. Then I add sauce and topping bake for 5 more minutes. Last step once the crust is golden brown is to add the cheese. Comes out crisp and wonderful on the stone. from MIKE: I love my pizza stone - but here's my problem. I make the pizza's while the stone heats up, by the time I'm ready to cook, the pizza is too soggy an dis impossible to get on the stone! I have to cook it on a pizza pan first then move it halfway through... what do you guys do about this?
Guest guest
Hey, thank you for this! I have had a pizza stone since Christmas and haven't been able to get it right. The pizza has always stuck to the stone. I used your technique last night and it was GREAT. Also, I tried some of the Soytastic cheese (or whatever it's called) and it was great. Sadly, as I was eating it, I noticed that it has casein in it, so it's not vegan. But it's better than eating a big ole hunk of mozzarella! Anyway, thanks for the pizza stone tips!!
