Guest guest
My husband used the Quorn Crumbles to make his " Dirty Rice " recipe and I have to say that it tasted so close to what he used to make with ground turkey (and it looked like it too) that I made him pull the bags out to show me before I would try it. Even afterwards, I found eating the Quorn a little too realistic for my comfort, but our meat eating friends LOVE it- especially the " meatballs " ! I think that the Quorn would really give you the flavor and texture that you are looking for in your chilli and it takes seasonings well. Guest guest
You had me at " dirty rice. " Okay, actually, what impressed me was that it tasted so meaty that you didn't believe it! I googled quorn and found that the Ralph's near me supposedly sells it. So does the Whole Foods market in south Torrance, so if I can't find it today, I'll zip out tomorrow. Thanks guys! This group rocks!! Traci
Guest guest
Morningstar Farms crumbles are a bit mushy to me and my hubby can tell when I use them. When I used the Quorn crumbles he didn't notice a difference between them and hamburger and he wondered why I was eating it! I had to show him the bag!
