I have made hummus without tahini and used a little of the firm silken tofu in it's place. It all works. It's also delicious with hemp butter and hemp is packed with omega's and protein. They are also a good source of magnesium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B1 and zinc. In addition, sesame seeds are a good source of both dietary fiber and monounsaturated fats. Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of vitamin E. They are also a very good source of vitamin B1.
