Guest guest
HAs to be a nice slice of apple pie. Do any of you eat it with melted cheese on top? They always ask me if I want that when I order apple pie in a restaurant. I never tried it. Maybe I will this year when I make a pie. Apple pie reminds me of cooler weather, the holidays and my childhood. My Mom and Aunts make them often. Ani
Guest guest
I have seen a few people do this. Two of the four I know are from Canada. I haven't tried it, doesn't sound good to me. Guest guest
When I was in trouble with my dad, (I called him the Colonel) I new I could smooth things over with a fresh baked apple pie from scratch but he would not touch a single piece without a big hunk of sharp cheddar cheese, just served cold next to the pie on the plate. Me, just spoon a heaping helping of homemade vanilla ice-cream on top of it and I am in hog heaven! Guest guest
nothing like cheese with apple pie. That is the way my grandparents ate it, and I love it to this day. Do you remember, Roy Rogers used to offer an apple cheese crisp like a million years ago? They took it away and replaced it with the brownie sundae. I missed it so! hugs, Chanda - Erin Gibson Tuesday, September 23, 2008 1:08 AM Re: and a question from me Re: Question of the Week = What are your comfort foods?
