I think when this came up last year regarding Coca Cola it was in their non coke

flavors but only in the U.K. Not the U.S.

Would be a good thing to follow up on.

I know Coke tastes different in Mexico so maybe the different plants out of the

U.S. Use their own formula.

Re: vegetarian rennet

I would recommend that you always read the label or check out with

the company. Over here in the UK I can buy ready made pastry that is

suitable for vegans and most cheese here is labelled if it is

suitable for vegetarians. If there is no label saying that something

is suitable for vegetarians/vegans then I will assume that it isn't,

unless I discover otherwise. I'm not sure if your labelling is as

good in the US. If you contact a company then you also need to check

that their definition of vegetarian is the same as yours. When I

contacted CocaCola about their drinks, it was only by chance that I

discovered that fish is used in the colouring of some of their yellow

coloured drinks. The customer service person that answered my email

did not seem to think that this would be a problem for many

vegetarians.

It tastes different in Mexico because they use sugar instead of high fructose

corn syrup because their government does not dictate the use of sugar like our

corrupt government does.

OMG YES!!!!!

when that comes on I just want to EXPLODE!!!

when the person says " well, you know what they say about it " and then the other

person goes, " no, what? " then the other person just goes, " duh " I start yelling:

" that is has a one carbon chain! that because of that it goes through the system

so quickly, unlike sugar, which takes time to be metabolized, and slams the

pancreas hard and can cause diabetes later in life. "

That is what I yell at the TV, and I want to smack them all.

OK, enough violence..... I shall go meditate.

They also formulate it differently (just like winemakers do) to

accomodate each country's taste preferences.  For example, in

Mexico, they prefer a MUCH sweeter Coke than in the US.

The George Du Boeuf winery blends much differently for US vs UK vs

French, Australia, etc.  I only happen to know this as we were

given a private tour by them some years ago and they said that George

himself oversaw this.

also it is my believe that the syrup used in foreign countries is much heavier

in proportion to water than it is in the u.s.  gloria
