Guest guest Posted September 24, 2008 Report Share Posted September 24, 2008 Okara Garbanzo Oats Burger recipe Ingredients: 15oz garbanzo beans 1 cup fresh okara (all of what would be left from making soymilk) tsp plus garlic powder tsp plus onion powder tbspn parsley flakes 2 tbspns or less olive oil tsp Spike (if you don't like salty, omit this) ½ tsp or dash sage ½ tsp or dash thyme 2 squirts lemon juice Rolled oats as needed 1.Put garbanzo beans in processor or mix some other way until smooth. 2.Blend in all other ingredients, except oats. 3.Save in 32 oz jar in the freezer/fridge or follow next step. 4.Put about 3 tbspns full for each burger of mix into small bowl /large if you are making more than one burger. 5.Add oats until very thick. 6.Heat olive oil in pan and fry until crisp or desired consistency.
