Guest guest
What's in a label anyway, status or maybe a high or low price? If the label falls off a bottle of wine it's just a bottle of wine, no different from the bottle on the next shelf, except for the color glass used in the bottle or the grape fermented inside. I'm probably more vegan than many vegans within this group but I will always call myself a vegetarian. Non-veggies relate to the word a little easier. I convert no one! Offer them your good food and they come around. Donna The seed is in bloom, will it meet an early doom or survive in a tranquil sea? I have put it this way, to my family. If I'm at a party, I might have a bite (or piece) of some birthday cake that is made with dairy. Even though I consider myself vegan, I'm not gonna go nutsy crazy about that. But, there is no way I'll take a bite of somebody's hamburger. To me, they are completely different! Vive la difference!! Make sure the cheese doesn't contain rennet though. Vegans know to adapt our vegetarian recipes or delete the recipes they can't use. It certainly doesn't work trying to convert anyone, you have to make changes to suit your own needs. If you try to convert people you will find a bunch of rude rebels on your hands. Friday, September 19, 2008, 1:48 AM I hate to stir the pot here, and thank you for the review, but I don't want pressure here from anyone to be vegan. It is up to each of us to decide for ourselves. No, I don't think animal products are necessary for health, but neither do I think they are the worst thing one can do either, and if eating a little cheese, or milk can keep me off meat then I will do that, and I find nothing puts my meat eating friends off more than me trying to turn them vegetarian.
