QOTW - What do you associate with fall and why?

I love the smell of fresh cooking applesauce, with some ground cinnamon in

it. I think I will put some in the crockpot tomorrow and enjoy the smell

in the kitchen all day! This smell takes me back to my childhood with my

mom cooking it and also to home etc. class in high school. All the students

were cooking it up in our different home etc. kitchens one day, just before

lunch, and the smell was incredible. Makes my mouth water just thinking of

this.

 

My mom would make apple and pear sauce and we would eat it over pancakes,

that we had spread first with crunchy peanut butter.

 

My dad would loved my moms apple and pear cobbler. She made it often and

we'd eat left overs of it with some soy milk poured over it, for

breakfast...
