I peeled and diced up 1 peach and 5 gala apples. I mixed it into 1/4 c. brown

sugar, 1/4c. peach nectar, 1 t. each cinnamon and cardomon. I heated it covered

in the microwave for 5 minutes to give it a heat start and then put into my

heated 2 qt. crock pot. I cooked it on high for 2-3 hours. It is still in

small pieces and tastes wonderful. I could mash it up easily, but we love it

this way. The house sure does smell good.

Thanks for all the great ideas for adding peaches and cardomon to this. It is

so good.

Let me know what you think of the added peach and I will make sure to try a

pearin mine next time. I love applesauce and it's so easy to make.

I have a peach in my fruit boil. I'll add one. I have a can of mango nectar. I

see they are adding mango to the small containers of applesauce and my daughters

tried some and said it is wonderful.

I like it a bit chunky too Donna! The other night I sliced up some apples into

thin slices and simmered them in 1/2 t. butter/smart balance light spread, some

cinnamon, nutmeg and a sprinkle of water and brown sugar. It was tender yet

still in slices, when done. It was great. I didn't even peal the apples.

I've also added a diced peach or nectarine too.

Wow that is great deal on those apples. I hope we have that kind of a deal

soon. Your appelpaj is wonderful too. I'll have to make that soon too.

Oh Judy, so happy to hear ypiur review. I know that house smells great.

Today the market has beautiful crisp Gala apples 2 lbs for a dollar. I bought

a huge bag. Will make applesauce and a nice big appelpaj.
