Guest guest
Have you tried Tofurky? They offer it at Wild oats, Henry's, and Wild Oats. It's a bit salty for my taste but tastes real good.
Guest guest
As far as fake turkey products go, I've found the absolute best to be the Quorn brand turkey. It's incredible! All my meat-eating family members agree that it's just like turkey. The only thing about it is that it's not vegan, whereas Tofurky is. I personally don't think Tofurky is very tasty. Also, making gravy out of onion soup mix is one of the best secrets I've learned for creating a good vegetarian Thanksgiving. Along with the secrets of coping with certain family members, of course. -Jackie , Tom Roberts <tomsculpture wrote: > > Have you tried Tofurky? Guest guest
Oh Jackie I agree, I love Quorn turley roast. The day after you can make chk'n salad with it too! If there is any left, LOL. I use the serve a gravy brown with mushrooms, but onion sounds great too. Even when I was a kid, I loved to fill up on all the sides, yum! I never really went too much for the turkey itself anyway, but that Quorn Turkey roast is just so goooood. hugs, Chanda Jackie wrote: > > As far as fake turkey products go, I've found the absolute best to be > the Quorn brand turkey. Guest guest
I've had Tofurkey and didn't much care for it but what I really like for Thanksgiving is the Quorn turkey roll. I think that tastes the most like turkey, plus it's actually kind of juicy. I don't know how they make it but it's really good.

Guest guest
I just found Quorn this year and so I am excited about the turkey option from them. Everything else I have tried from them has been quite tasty. Even my husband has to admit that it is good. I think I may have to order online as I am not my grocer will think it worthy to bring in Quorn turkeys for Thanksgiving. , " Jackie " <playfullycute2000 wrote: > > As far as fake turkey products go, I've found the absolute best to be > the Quorn brand turkey. Guest guest
Ive tried the quorn and the tofurkey and I didnt care for either one. I am totally devoted to Worthington Dinner Roast though, it is not vegan. Last week I bought a package of Pepperidge Farms dry stuffing mix and there was a recipe on the back to make baked chicken and stuffing, I substituted soy curls for the chicken and veggie broth for the chicken broth and it turned out wonderful, I just wished I had some cranberry sauce it would have been just like Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving at our house we will be having the dinner roast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole, dinner rolls and hors doeuvres, with Pumpkin pie for dessert. Guest guest
I tried Tofurkey before and did not like it at all. I do have to agree with the others though about the Quorn turkey. It is amazingly good! I love it. My meat-eating husband even loves it. I am cooking the Quorn turkey roll for Thanksgiving.
