Curry Mushroom Patties 

 

1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, clean and remove ends of

stems of mushrooms, chop

2 tablespoons cracker crumbs

1/2 teaspoon salt

 

1/8 teaspoon curry powder

1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley

1 egg,

beaten

1/2 cup thick white sauce

1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

 

frying oil

 

Into a bowl, mix together cracker crumbs, salt,

curry powder, chopped parsley, beaten egg, white sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

 

Mix in chopped mushrooms.

Cover bowl; refrigerate mixture for quite a

few hours.

A little before serving, shape mixture into patties.

Just

before serving, shape mixture into patties; dip patties into beaten egg.

Fry

patties into a little hot oil until really hot, until golden browned on both

sides.

Drain patties onto paper toweling, and serve.

May I ask what kind of a  " thick white sauce " ?
