Guest guest
Hi all, I just logged on and read this post and I can tell you that although this was on a TV show, some grandparents will do anything because they believe their right. We were sued by my in-laws for Mandatory visitation. They said they would do anything they had to do to keep their grandson from being raised by a cheap Mexican woman. I'm a 6th generation American, my Father did 3 tour in Vietnam, Marine, they just didn't like the fact that I was a Latina, divorced with 2 young sons and that made their Grandson the " middle " child. It was ugly, we were wiped out financially, and are still recovering 3 years later. My " Mother-in-law " actually said she would do it all again, no regrets. They only get 4 weekends a year, no holidays and my husband has not spoken to them in 4 years. My husband says they made their bed, they need to lie in it. They have no other children and my step son is their only grandchild and the only reason he talks to them is because the court order says he has to, as soon as he turns 18 he's done with them. Sorry, I seemed to have gone way off task. Some " Grandparents " will do anything, my stepson has allergies but they won't give him his meds because they say he doesn't have allergies. The next visit is in November and my now 16 year old step son is going to tell them he's a Vegan. Because his visit is not on Thanksgiving they have their Thanksgiving dinner early. This is going to make for a very interesting dinner since she starts cooking before he gets there!! Like I said, sorry for going on but some things are just not limited to TV.
