Guest guest
Yesterday I was in Panera and was dismayed to find that they had deleted the portabella mushroom panani from the menu. I'm happy that Panera lists all the ingredients to their items on their website. They also display vegetarian soup choices when you go into the restaurant. I plan on writing them soon about vegetarian choices hoping that they will add more, and maybe add back the portabella panani. It was my favorite before I even went vegetarian. I think it is a simple choice for restaurants to use vegetable broth in lieu of chicken broth in some soup recipes. I doubt if there would be any noticeable difference to most customers if any. I've been getting the blueberry scone for breakfast when I go to Panera in the morning, as that is the only pastry I've found that doesn't have eggs. I am hoping that if more of us write restaurants or ask and make it clear when ordering that we want vegetarian choices that it will become more prevalent. Thanks, Jerri
