Guest guest
They are so popular now. When my sister was dating her husband a million years ago he made use black beans, rice, salsa, etc. I didn't know what to think of the black beans, no one I knew had ever tasted them back then. I made them in my white enamel pot and never got that poor thing stain free again. LOL Donna Now if you're sad and you're feeling blue Go out and buy a brand new pair of shoes And you go down, down to Tangie Town 'Cause people down there really like to get it on SOURCE - Doors Maggie McGill --- On Mon, 10/20/08, L.B. <elbee577 wrote: L.B. <elbee577 Re: reply to the post about " ugly cooked lentils " Monday, October 20, 2008, 8:58 AM Lentils...I like them a lot. They're " beans " but they don't look like beans. I've never thought they look funny when cooked. Now black beans--WE think they look weird when cooked. I usually have to hide them by mixing them in with other (red or light-colored) beans when I make a chili or something--my DH thinks that plain cooked black beans are gross and they look really strange with brown or white rice. (But not if you use the dark-purple rice! Then you can't tell which is black beans and which is " black " rice!) --Laura B., in Illinois PS: I would have included the clip from the original post, but when I hit " reply " I typed the message and didn't delete the entire digest before adding the smaller clip, which, I believe, was from Donna. I got the mod's reminder to NOT send the whole, entire digest in my reply! Thanks again, Donna! I will try to do better next time! ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ __ http://mail.
