Don't use okra in place of nopales cactus in recipes. It doesn't

taste the same. Try to find fresh noplaes at the Mexican market if

yoiu have one in your area. It's better to use the fresh but the one

in the jar is Okay too.

bottled Nopales in the Ethnic food area, do drain and rinse for best

flavor as they are naturally gelatinous like Okra which can be used

as a successful substitute to cactus in recipes.
