Guest guest Posted October 23, 2008 Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 Sesame Shiitake Mushrooms 12 ozs. large fresh shiitake mushrooms (about 12-16) 1/4 white wine 2 tbsps. sesame oil 1 tbsp. lite tamari or soya sauce 2 garlic cloves, crushed Garnish: toasted sesame seeds or black pepper to taste, optional Remove stems from mushrooms, wipe caps with damp cloth and place cap side up in lightly greased shallow baking dish. In a measuring cup combine remaining ingredients and spoon over the mushroom caps. Bake in 350 degree oven or barbecue for 25 to 30 minutes. Garnish as desired. Makes 4 servings. Trimmed stems may be reserved and simmered in broth for soups or stews. Calories 87, Fat 7.1 g, Carbs 4 g, Sodium 166 mg, Fibber 1.2 g.
