I am a 30-something vegetarian transitioning to vegan, Interior Design student with a focus on " greenovation " and recently engaged to a man who is coming around to my " vegetarian craziness. " (That's what his grandma calls it, not his personal opinion... mostly.) I live in Wisconsin with a pair of crazy cats that think they are dogs and the aforementioned fiance. I have been vegetarian for most of the last 15 years, with a lapse that happened during a rough time in my life many years ago. I first discovered vegetarianism through a coworker at my very first job. I sometimes wish I could find her to thank her for the wonderful change she brought into my life. I began as a " health " vegetarian, but as time goes on I find many more reasons to strengthen my resolve... hence the reason I am transitioning to vegan. Check out our recipe files. You'll love them.. One never knows the seeds they plant in our lives and how they will take off, sometimes sooner, sometimes later in life. I'm happy for you that someone got you interested in eating a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. What a gift to better health they gave you and to a huge variety great food. Happy Veg cooking.
