Oh man, do you like it that way?  I really can't say too much because I do mix

some very strange foods together myself.

We did it in Connecticut all the time, Donna. Cheese was served with apple

pie at any restaurant, usually a good-sized chunk of Extra Sharp Cheddar!!

I've from Ontario Canada and grew up with cheese on my apple pie. My husband

grew up in Ontario but he thinks it's a weird thing to eat so insists on ice

cream with his pie. We both have similar ancestry so who knows why he's not

into the taste of a really good dessert.

to the last sentence -- eeeewwww!!

Speaking of cinnamon rolls, the American Royal Barbecue is held here in

Kansas City every year -- big, 3-day deal. A friend's husband was competing

in it -- she told me one of the things they were making was cinnamon rolls

with bacon rolled up inside them -- (even for people who like bacon, gross!)

Raw apples are good with cheese -- it is a good contrast, the sweet and

sharp. Apple pie, though... I don't know about that! :)

Hello Audrey.

I too am from Ontario and we always had cheese with our apple pie.

Once in a while ice cream, but mostly cheese.

(Save the ice cream for apple crisp)

Growing up in Maine, my grandfather had cheddar with his apple pie but I always

prefer ice cream.

My family have always done this (including my great Grand parents) so it could

be something that the settlers took over with them.
