Guest guest
It's fun to see what people enjoy in other parts of the country. I've still not see a perogi for sale and I remember 2 years ago the members were talking about egg creams. I have no idea what that is either. I eat raw apples with cheese - of course, very tasty. So why not cooked? Sharon I work from home. Cheese on apple pie We were just talking about the cheese on apple pie. What is the reason for it? I don't think it's an L.A. thing, I don't know anyone I grew up with eating cheese on apple pie. I worked with a Canadian woman who did this. Hello and welcome! I am quite new myself (just joined yesterday). being from Wisconsin myself, I can relate. When I first learned about vegetarianism, it was easy enough with my immediate family but aunt, uncles, and such (hunters, galore... ugh) were not supportive at all. I transitioned slowly.... dropping one meat at a time. As time goes on they've come to expect a little " weirdness " from me and let it go. My biggest struggle with veganism is cheese, so I understand why it will take an extra year to give that up. Is it just me or does cheese find its way in everything around here? (My aunt makes an apple pie with cheese in it!) Best of luck with your goals! Toni goodlilwoman wrote: > > Hi! > > I am not fully veggie yet but I am making great strides toward it. Be > patient. Guest guest
How about apple salad? 2-3 apples, in bite-sized chunks grapes, halved 1-2 bananas, sliced chopped walnuts dressing: 1/2 c or so mayo or miracle whip; 1-2 teaspoons sugar; 1/2 tsp vanilla My family has always made this, I've never seen it anywhere else. Guest guest
I had a boyfriend from Pennsylvania who completely burned me out on Perogis. They are good...just not everyday I remember they were like a potato filled potsticker. Never had an egg creme. I think my mom used to get these when she was a kid at the soda shop though. Guest guest
I grew up on egg creams.? They originated in Brooklyn, NY and I believe they're strictly a NY thing...chocolate or vanilla syrup, seltzer and milk.? Kind of tastes like an ice cream soda without the ice cream.? Haven't had one in a very long time. It's fun to see what people enjoy in other parts of the country.? I've still not see a perogi for sale and I remember 2 years ago the members were talking about egg creams.? I have no idea what that is either.
