Guest guest
I generally use Earth Balance, but am looking for a butter flavor that is dairy free, liquid or powder... my idea is to mix it into a homemade soy yogurt cheese to make a lower in fat spreadable 'butter' for toast and bagels, mix in with mashed potatoes, etc. Any ideas? Sorry in advance if this is already covered somewhere. Cheers, Pete
Guest guest
I remember that I have seen an extract that is butter flavored. It was artificial flavored. Maybe try around the extracts and flavors?? Guest guest
Yes, I use butter flavoring in cake frostings. McCormick makes some, it's in the spice aisle, by the vanilla and almond extracts, stuff like that. Wilton, the company that makes cake decorating supplies, makes imitation butter flavoring, if you can't find it at the grocery store, you can find Wilton's at a craft store like Michael's. One brand may be better than another, I'm not sure. Audrey S. On Tue, Oct 28, 2008 at 11:00 PM, Marilyn Daub <mcdaub wrote: > I remember that I have seen an extract that is butter flavored. Guest guest
I thought so. I think I did use it in cake decorating, too.
