Guest guest
I've been a vegetarian on and of for about five years. My husband eats meat and I did a little travelling making it hard to always eat vegetarian, but after my 1st daughter was born (she is 2.5) i've not eaten meat. I started cutting out meat just because we eat so much of it, and I wanted to see if and how it would be without it. And if keept it out because I find more and more reasons to to....like animal cruielty, health and so on. I'm still new to it though and joind this group for inspiration and information. I just recently realised that not all cheeses are vegetarian and i'm wondering what else I need pay more attention too.... Long intro, I know, thanks for letting me join =) Kim
Guest guest
I have never heard that not all cheese is vegetarian. What sorts of cheeses should I look for? I thought " Boar's Head " was a brand name....please tell me it isn't actually stuff from a pig! yuck Mermaid : kimguest1: Thu, 30 Oct 2008 17:52:30 +0000 Hi from Kim I've been a vegetarian on and of for about five years. Guest guest
http://cheese.joyousliving.com/ Be careful of imported cheeses. Whole Foods clerks at the cheese counter are usually pretty good about telling me which brand has vegetable or microbial rennet instead of animal, too. I'm always careful what kind of cheese I buy, but not so much when I eat out, it's harder. Audrey S. Guest guest
I always leave something out -- most cheese labeled " organic " are vegetarian, I'm pretty sure -- unless somebody knows of exceptions? And welcome to the new people -- I'm new myself! Audrey S. On Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 3:57 PM, Audrey Snyder <audeebird wrote: > http://cheese.joyousliving.com/ > > Be careful of imported cheeses.
