That's wonderful news.  I too believe you did it with a good healthy diet and

water.

I've seen so many people diagnosed with diabetes and they will eat worse instead

of

changing their eating habits.  I know 3 who loves sweets and will take extra

insulin shots so they can have candy and desserts.  I don't know how it works

but it sure sounds like a deathwish to me.  There isn't one diabetic on either

side of my family and I don't want to be the first so I try to control my sugar

intake.  I could easily eat a pound of sugar a day.

As soon as I bake sweet breads I slice them and wrap each piece and place in the

freezer.  This way I will only eat a slice. I freeze my cookies, I also do this

with cornbread, etc.

no one can change my mind about water either.  I've never eaten much meat, so in

the year or so that i've called myself a vegetarian, my diet has not

significantly changed with the exception of two things... i eat a lot of sprouts

now, and i drink a lot of water now, and my diabetic symptoms have nearly

disappeared - i no longer need insulin.  I credit the water and all the extra

good stuff i eat :)

Coke Classic *drool* - i love it.  That and root beer.

[vegetarian_ group] Water Drinking

I drink a lot of water and green tea.

If and when I take a vitamin I take it after dinner. It stays in

your system longer at night and it doesn't upset my stomach. I can't

imagine not drinking water. I have great skin and I owe it all to

loads of water, fiber, ground flax, hemp nut seeds, eating every

veggie I can find, no preservatives if I can help it, 1/2 can of Coke

a day and staying out of the sun. (If I don't have my 1/2 can of Coke

a day I will seriously sugar binge). There is no link on the net that

will change my mind about water.

drink plenty of water and hardly bogus to encourage people to do so.

It's also awesome to encourage exercise, most people don't do enough

of that either, good looking out
