how do you deal with the caffine with drawls? I'd love to cut out coffee and

Having just quit drinking coffee here is what I did. I bought many jars of

Roma caffeine free hot beverage. I mixed instant coffee half and half with

the Roma. The second month I mixed 25% instant coffee with 75% Roma. Third

month it is all Roma. Now you may not care for instant coffee which will help

you to break the caffeine + flavor identification which can't hurt. Instead

of soda reach for water. Don't substitute one bad thing for another. Stick

to your guns and you can do it without the headaches.

I have had many fewer headaches since I quit the coffee including migraines.

I had been having at least 3 headaches per week now if I have that many in

a month I know I have let my blood sugar has been too low.

i love soda but can't have it often, and i'll never give up coffee :)  i do buy

fair trade though.  I don't see anything wrong with either.

i've found that since i'm eating right, drinking plenty of water and exercising

regularly, that i already have so much energy that i don't need the caffeine as

much :))

How it worked for me: I am a coffee addict. To quit I switched to

something that has a little caffeine, but not the flavor of coffee

(that I love). Once the headaches start, just drink 1/2 cup of weak

green tea (yes it has caffeine). Once they start again, drink another

little bit. What you will probably notice is that you can go longer

and longer without headaches, so the 1/2 cups green tea will become

more infrequent. I was able to quit completely this way in 3 days

without the horrible headaches.

Unfortunately I drink coffee again. Problem is I get very sleepy at

work in the afternoon sometimes, so I use the coffee to stay awake. I

will quit completely when I retire.

I " ll drink to that; Green tea, that is.

This method really works and you just might find that you LOVE green tea.  I

do.  It is so good for the body and has a wondrful fresh clean taste with just

the tiniest bit of caffeine.

I am tipping my cup right now, Maggie, and this one is for you!

And the little bit of caffeine that green tea has in it doesn't have give you a

jittery feeling, just a happy feeling from the B vitamin and antioxidents that

are loaded in this.

Green tea is the best food source of a group called catechins. In test tubes,

catechins are more powerful than vitamins C and E in halting oxidative damage to

cells and appear to have other disease-fighting properties. Studies have found

an association between consuming green tea and a reduced risk for several

cancers, including, skin, breast, lung, colon, esophageal, and bladder.

Also here is some more info about green tea.

drink jerba Matte - also known as Jaguar tea from argentina. The

compound in it is very close to caffiene but it is not caffiene. Drink

it and slowly switch to herbal tea

Hi,

Green tea is great. It is even availabe flavored. It comes with

caffine or you can get decaf Mandarin Orchard Green Tea from

Celestial Seasonings.

I am a coffee drinker and I am trying to cut back as well. There

were times in my life that I did quit drinking coffee and the way

that I did that was to cut back on the amount slowly. I also used

that technique when I quit soda. I have not drinked soda in years,

and I just cut back the amount that I drank slowly. Adding organic

lemons in water is really good and is a natural diuretic.
