Guest guest
Question of the week: I love Italian food at Maggiano's Little Italy (yes, it's a chain). They make a REALLY good Eggplant Parmesan (sp?) that is just to die for! I almost always order this on the very rare occasion that DH and I eat there. I also had some EXCELLENT eggplant parmesan from the " hot deli " foods bar at Whole Foods (in St. Louis area, near Brentwood, I believe). I took a large " take out " order of it and had a wonderful 2 meals' worth when I got home! YUMMMMM-OH! For FAST food, I don't mind grabbing the veggie burger at Burger King. I am sure almost everything at a fast " burger " place is greasy anyway, so I don't actually expect their veg. burger to be " low-fat " , just not animal fat in it. I like how they taste and enjoy getting home (I usually don't eat there) and " doctoring " my sandwich with my at-home condiments and extra lettuce, pickles, etc.! Also, I did not know this: >>Taco Bell will substitute beans for beef in any menu item at no charge. Their refried Beans are all vegetarian. We get the taco's, pizza, nacho's and lots of other items with the bean substitute. <<< I had supposed their beans contained (animal) lard--didn't want that! I've always loved their small " regular " burritos--even before I thought about vegetarian eating. Now I can get those on the run and not worry at all! Thanks for the info!! --Laura B., in illinois Question of the Week - What are good Vegetarian items at different Restaurants? Please tell us the names of these restaurants and where they are located, if not a chain store. (Thanks Audrey for this good question) Judy
