Guest guest
I buy Cold Mountain from Whole Foods, I'm hookned on the red Hawaiian style one http://www.coldmountainmiso.com/coldmount.html Here's my soup recipe. Don't laugh at the name I gave it. Miso Tasty Japanese Soup 6 cups Water 6 tblspn White miso (in Asian markets and health food stores) or use another color. 1 cup Frozen peas, thawed 3 Green onions, with tops thinly sliced 1 Jalapeno pepper seeded (small one) and sliced into thin rings 1 Garlic clove minced 1 med Piece dulse finely chopped (sea vegetable) optional 2 tsp Freshly squeeze lemon juice 1/4 tsp Hot sesame oil Put 1 cup of the water and the miso in a small bowl and stir together. In a large pot, combine the remaining 5 cups water, the peas, green onions, jalapeno pepper, and garlic. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-hight heat, then immediately reduce the heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in the miso mixture, dulse, lemon juice, and hot sesame oil. Bring barely to a simmer over medium-high heat, turn flame off. Serve immediately. Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another.
