Guest guest Posted November 14, 2008 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 Lacy Batty Cakes 3/4 cup white cornmeal 1/2 teaspon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup buttermilk 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 cup butter Combine cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine buttermilk and egg. Stir in cornmeal mixture until cornmeal absorbs liquid. Preheat griddle to 400 degrees. Lightly butter griddle. Use 1 tablespoon batter for each cake. Bake four at a time. The title " Lacy " makes me think maybe these cakes are in a lacy form.
