Nothing makes me happier than when an animal finds a forever home where they can live out their lives filled with love.? In the last year I lost two of my beloved old?cats (7 weeks apart)....one to?renal failure and one to cancer.? I, too, have an " old vet " who comes to the house to euthanize them...a true blessing.? He always says that this is the deal we make when we acquire a pet...love them with all your heart in life, but let them go gently when it's time.? Not a day has gone by where I haven't missed them.? I'm now down to one and I keep saying no more pets...it's just too hard to say goodbye.? I just recently passed up the opportunity to get a purebred Ragdoll kitten (long story).? I agonized over it for days and then?just said " no. " ? Somewhere down the road, I'll probably cave, though.? Having lived most of my life with at least one cat, I just can't imagine coming home to an empty house with no one waiting at the door?to greet me.
