fire

There's been a big ol forest fire down in the Santa Cruz Mtns south of here.It started yesterday early in the morning, and yesterday the winds were blowing from the north. This morn, the winds have switched around.good news for the fire fighters, as it helps them a lotbut, bad for us up here.visibility is shot. everything is grey, brown and hazy. heavy odor of smoke in the air.the fire is at least 80 miles away, and i can't see landmarks a mile away due to the smoke.hope folks got all their companion animals out....bad news if its only may and we are getting fires already..and in the santa cruz mtns no less. the have redwoods up there. generally a pretty wet area (at least for us here)fraggleWhat gets us into trouble is not what we don't know, it's what we know for sure that just ain't so.- Mark Twain

Hi Angelo

I don't know whether anyone is hurt, but I have a friend who is still waiting to hear news of her sister who lives right in the middle of the area....

Yes, they are in my prayers. Now, Donna and her son too. Thank you for the link.

It has been so dry and unusually hot in California for November.

Blessings and thanks for the link.
