Guest guest
I have some collard greens left that I need to use. I have no clue what to make with them. Any ideas would be wonderful. Thanks for much. Hugs, Mindy
Guest guest
They are wonderful diced up and added to bean soups in the last 10 minutes of cooking. Also great raw in fruit smoothies, if you have a powerful Vita-Mix. You won't even know they are in there. I love to just steam stir fry them in my wok. I just wash and diced them up and add to the wok that has a little heated oil. The water droplets left on the leaves will be enough water to steam them. I add a little salt and stir well. Cover and stir often until tender but still bright green. Some garlic, either slices or minced fresh or dry garlic is delicious in it too. Guest guest
Mindy look in the greens recipe folder in the files. Collards have their own folder. Donna When the stars aint shinin bright, and you fill like you've lost your way When the candle lights of home, burn so very far away Well you got to let your soul shine, just like my daddy used to say He used to say soul shine Its better than sunshine Its better than moonshine Damn sure better than rain source: Allman Brothers/Gov't Mule - Soulshine --- On Wed, 11/19/08, Mindy-n-Shawn <hunnybunns4233 wrote: Mindy-n-Shawn <hunnybunns4233 Ideas needed for collard greens Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 8:19 AM I have some collard greens left that I need to use. Guest guest
That gives me a couple of ideas. I plan on making a vegetable soup tomorrow night or I might just chopped them up and add some other veggies to my steamer and steam them with some fresh garlic and seasonings. I am also going to check the files like Donna suggested. Thanks. Hugs, Mindy , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > They are wonderful diced up and added to bean soups in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
