Black Beans and Rice- Deanne (Brown rice)

the brown rice always seemed to take longer than what i searched up on the

internet and still seemed a bit crunchy.  i should has phrased my question a bit

better....

 

i can't get the rice portion of the recipe correct.

I'm not so sure I understand this question.? You cook the beans and you serve it

over the cooked rice.? If your rice is ready before the beans are you can always

reheat it, same thing for the beans.? It doesn't really have to be exact.

 

I usually use Uncle Ben's instant brown rice which cooks in 15 mins (even though

they advertise it as cooking in 10). I??work until 7:00 p.m. and??I don't want

to wait around for 40-45 mins for?regular? brown?rice to cook when I get home.?

 

How do you cook the brown rice with it?? i've tried twice and can't get the

timing or the rice right.

Well, in that case, I'd just add a little more water (if it's dry) and just cook

it a little longer.? Or....try the Uncle Ben's instant that I mentioned.? I do

it in the microwave and it's perfect in 15 mins.
