or you can't wait to prrepare a meal so you open a package of tofu, cut it in

half and stand over the kitchen sink and eat it, just like that.

Tofu is wonderful. Your post reminded me that I dreamed last of

preparing a meal, and the main part was baked tofu. You know you're a

real vegetarian when you dream of cooking tofu, lol.

we should do a 'stuff i eat when no one is looking' thread :P  i put raw tofu on

crackers and have it with canned pears with salt and pepper (yeah i'm weird lol)

too busy to cook, i toss a big block of it in the blender with some fruit, i

love the flavor of raw tofu - i guess it is an acquired taste... i love iced rye

rejuvelac too, most people think it is gross

when no one is looking and i can't figure out what i want, a tofu/pickle/peanut

butter sandwich usually does the trick

Ok, once I had sauerkraut and was really wanting to cook with it, and

the only other thing I had was lentils, so I created a dish combining

the two. I put some yogurt on it and thought it was delicious (every

time I eat lentils I have to put yogurt on it), but when I told my mom

about it she said " Jackie, you should probably not cook that for

anyone else. " But it worked!

I wish I could be that way!  Just the thought of tofu makes me want to stop

being vegetarian -- thank goodness there are so many other wonderful, wonderful

foods so I can still be a vegetarian! Kelly
