Guest guest
we should do a 'stuff i eat when no one is looking' thread i put raw tofu on crackers and have it with canned pears with salt and pepper (yeah i'm weird lol) too busy to cook, i toss a big block of it in the blender with some fruit, i love the flavor of raw tofu - i guess it is an acquired taste... i love iced rye rejuvelac too, most people think it is gross when no one is looking and i can't figure out what i want, a tofu/pickle/peanut butter sandwich usually does the trick --- On Fri, 11/21/08, Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower you know you're a vegetarian when ....? Guest guest
Ok, once I had sauerkraut and was really wanting to cook with it, and the only other thing I had was lentils, so I created a dish combining the two. I put some yogurt on it and thought it was delicious (every time I eat lentils I have to put yogurt on it), but when I told my mom about it she said " Jackie, you should probably not cook that for anyone else. " But it worked! , Pete Self <self.pete wrote: > > we should do a 'stuff i eat when no one is looking' thread i put raw tofu on crackers and have it with canned pears with salt and pepper (yeah i'm weird lol) > > too busy to cook, i toss a big block of it in the blender with some fruit, i love the flavor of raw tofu - i guess it is an acquired taste... i love iced rye rejuvelac too, most people think it is gross > > when no one is looking and i can't figure out what i want, a tofu/pickle/peanut butter sandwich usually does the trick > > --- On Fri, 11/21/08, Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower > you know you're a vegetarian when ....? > > Friday, November 21, 2008, 6:36 PM > > > > > or you can't wait to prrepare a meal so you open a package of tofu, cut it in half and stand over the kitchen sink and eat it, just like that. > > Donna > You may say I'm a dreamer > > But I'm not the only one > > I hope someday you'll join us > > And the world will be as one > > SOURCE: John Lennon > > > > --- On Fri, 11/21/08, Jackie <playfullycute2000@ > wrote: > > > > Jackie <playfullycute2000@ > > > [vegetarian_ group] Re: cheap meals > > > > Friday, November 21, 2008, 10:33 AM > > > > Tofu is wonderful. Guest guest
I wish I could be that way! Just the thought of tofu makes me want to stop being vegetarian -- thank goodness there are so many other wonderful, wonderful foods so I can still be a vegetarian!
