Homemade Chocolate Syrup

 

1/2 cup favorite cocoa powder (ghirardelli)

1 cup cane juice crystals (plain sugar will work ok)

pinch of salt

1 cup water

1 t vanilla

 

Mix everything except vanilla in sauce pan.

 

Medium heat while whisking, getting all the lumps out.

 

Bring to a boil for one and a half minutes - it will thicken and turn glossy -

stir constantly.

 

Remove from heat

 

Add vanilla, stir

 

Pour into pint mason jar

 

Keeps in fridge for 2 weeks
