I sub'd canola oil because it was in the pantry and i used all ghirardelli chips Very tasty and hardly no calories at all! Thanks Sunshine Oatmeal Whole Wheat Double Chocolate Walnut Brownies Note: Organic ingredients are recommended... INGREDIENTS: 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup water 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup oatmeal; grind 2/3 cup cocoa 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil 3 tablespoons cane sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/3 cup pure maple syrup 1/3 cup chocolate chips 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips 1/2 cup walnuts; chopped METHODS: Mix 1/3 cup whole wheat flour with 1 cup of water. Stir with a whisk constantly on medium/high heat until it becomes thick - then cool completely... Add 1/2 cup olive oil to a medium bowl, then add 2/3 cup cocoa and stir until smooth... cool... Beat brown sugar and 1/3 cup pure maple syrup into the cooled flour mixture, then add cocoa mixture... Mix together 1 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup grinded oatmeal and 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and add to above ingredients... Add 2/3 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup nuts and mix well...
