Guest guest
Hi Veggie friends, I started composting this summer by throwing all our stuff into a 5 gallon pickle jar on our porch, and bringing it to the solid waste place once a week (we are apartment dwellers). This past week when I went to dump it it was frozen. (I live in Vermont) so I brought it inside, and placed it in the trash closet with a air freshener. I noticed mold in it, and wondered is it safe to keep it indoors? I have a child who has numerous allergies. I would love to contine to compost and would hate to stop 6 months out of the year when it is frost season. any suggestions? Blessings to each of you. Guest guest
you'd likely have better luck with a worm bin in the same location. http://cahe.nmsu.edu/pubs/_h/h-164.pdf, http://newfarm.rodaleinstitute.org/features/0804/wormbin/index.shtml HTH Tameson - " mrswalp29 " <mrswalp29 > I started composting this summer ...
