Guest guest
Hi all: I'm on a fake mayo kick lately, and the chickpea 'mayo' that i made the other night with my vegburger has become my new condiment - i mixed with my steamed veggies and even in my rice tonight The version i made today: 2 cup of cooked chickpeas 1 T olive oil 1 t soy sauce 1/2 t liquid smoke 1 t ketchup 1 t mustard 1 T parsley 1/2 t hot sauce 1/2 t vinegar Blend until smooth This stuff is yum! The garbanzos are creamy and buttery and Please try Cherie's too, her recipe got me started with experimenting and is very good, thanks Cherie Ranch Style Bean-non-naise Place the following in the blender and whiz until smooth. 1 15 oz. can navy beans 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes 2 tsp. onion powder ¾ tsp. garlic powder ¾ tsp. dill weed ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. celery salt While blender is running, carefully remove lid and slowly drizzle in the following. 2 – 4 Tbsp. oil Put the lid back on, and then turn off the blender. Now it is ready to eat. Great for tomato sandwiches, or thin it a little and use as a salad dressing.
