Guest guest
Sue, I'm impressed that you have your menu already set for that long in advance. I wake up and then figure out what I'm making that day. LOL Either old favorites, recipes from here, the internet or cookbooks. You're very organized. I will try it again. sue Pete Self wrote: > > > i've made it twice, and it slices great and has good texture... the > first time i made it was a little mushy so i cooked it longer, and the > second time, i made sure i drained everything really well so i didn't > have any excess moisture... give it a try again and let us know how it > turned out - this is my favorite easy loaf so far - also i did mine in a > glass loaf pan, if that makes any difference >

In fact, I just list what I am going to eat for the next 7 -8 days and then shop. If we run out of things...so be it. I do tend to stock up on sales items. Like 2 for 1 whole wheat pasta I bought the other days. For this week on, I have planned; Chili, with crumbles. Corn bread Spaghetti with all kinds of veggies and whole wheat pasta Burgers with home made whole wheat rolls. Oven Baked potato hunks broccoli or beans, which ever floats my boat. I didn't include the lentil loaf in this list. It was a disaster. LOL Black bean soup with Grilled cheese panninis Pizza, made with my bread dough Black beans and rice with boca sausage Most of these are served with a side salad, as we are big salad eaters. And this was the economy week as things were bought before before out ss check came in. We don't go hungry. LOL sue
Guest guest
You sure won't go hungry with that delicious menu. I stock up too. Friends laugh when they see my garage. Hey it only makes sense to buy staples when they are on sale and stock up. We won't go hungry either. Judy ----- ------------------------- I am not organized at all. Guest guest
I'm impressed! Which black bean soup recipe do you use? I've seen several in the recipe files, can't decide on one! Audrey S.
Guest guest
Sorry, Audrey. I don't know which one to make. I just thought it would be a cheap meal and picked up a bag. I do know that I have some boca Italian sausages that I may add to it. And of course, onions and garlick! (yeah, I know) sue sue Audrey Snyder wrote: > > > I'm impressed! > Which black bean soup recipe do you use?
