Guest guest
I don't use sweeteners that are sugar free, but my type II diabetic husband uses a tiny amount of stevia on his oatmeal in the morning. He has been willing to give up sugar and does not mind the taste. And, stevia is good for his blood sugar levels. I have tried stevia and it tastes too much like licorice to me--I am not a licorice fan. The truly synthetic sweeteners do not agree with me so when I want a sweetener, I use organic sugar, maple syrup, honey, or maple sugar. Kathleen > I don't. I use stevia, agave, honey, sugar in the raw though and enjoy it.

Guest guest
I used to use them until I learned how seriously bad they are for us. I've switched to Stevia and Xylitol, and I refuse any product with artificial sweetener ..including Splenda. , Terri Partyka <tpartyka wrote: > > I really try to avoid them. > > ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) > ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- Terri > -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ > > Genesis 2:15 The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the > garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it. > > On Dec 9, 2008, at 1:56 PM, Sue Ruger wrote: > > > Just curious. > > > > sue > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I admit it, Im guilty. I grew up on aspertame/sweet'n'low and so now I guess you could say Im addicted to it. I only drink diet sodas. Don't like the oversweetness of regular ones. I have tried splenda off and on over the past five years, and only in the past year have I gotten to where I can stand it. I don't have any health/food stores around here, so would be big time expensive to try and find stevia and the other stuff. So I'm happy with my chemical filled stuff........guiltily said......... Guest guest
I use sugar in the raw organic for baking, honey for tea. I have read too much about artificial ANYTHING, including sweeteners. It freaks me out. Any drinks I sweeten with stevia and/or turbinado. Honey for tea. I use regular sugar for cooking. Guest guest
Me too. Was raised to eat very poorly and drink tons of diet soda. I've managed to stop, even for a couple of years at a time but still " relapse " on that Diet Dr. Pepper. Sam I admit it, Im guilty. Guest guest
My neighbor was hospitalized several times. The doctors finally found out that it was from the diet drinks which she drank. She testified before Congress about it. I wouldn't touch any artificial sweetner.
