Guest guest
Terri, I can't help you with the questions you had on the frozen produce, but thank you for posting about this company! I quit my CSA last year because I was completely unsatisfied with them, and had no idea this service existed in my state. Have you been happy with the quality and quantity of what you receive? How do they deliver - Fed Ex, truck, mail? Michelle in VA I get organic produce delivered to my home every Thursday (door to door organics, if anyone is interested). Because of the holiday, they scheduled the delivery for Wednesday instead. Anyway, to make a long story short, I forgot and realized today that it was being delivered early. Since I live in the great white north of Michigan, it was all found frozen on my front porch.
Guest guest
Michelle, I have had a few things that I wasn't happy with, but all I did was email them and tell them the situation and they would credit my account. Sometimes they would even give me something extra in apology. A guy (from Door to Door) drives up in his van and delivers it. I find that it works out really well because I don't buy a lot of stuff I don't need, like I would if I went to Whole Foods. ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- Terri -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ Genesis 2:15 The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it. Guest guest
Thanks Terri! I don't have a Whole Foods in my area, and good produce is hard to come by this time of year. I might just give them a try. Michelle in VA Michelle, I have had a few things that I wasn't happy with, but all I did was email them and tell them the situation and they would credit my account. Guest guest
Most produce freezes ok. Depending on what kind of lettuce is frozen it might be ok. Best to cook it up like you would spinach for example. Lot of people don't think you can cook lettuce but you can.
Guest guest
Thanks, I wondered how it would be cooked. ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- Terri -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ Genesis 2:15 The Lord God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it. Guest guest
It looks interesting. The amount of lettuce is unclear in the recipe. It says " 4-5 mixed lettuce " . What are the units? - The Dragon http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/lettucerisotto_14301.shtml Rather tasty! .
