Guest guest
Congrats on approval from the kiddo! We always put peanut butter in oatmeal or malto-meal, it gets all warm and melty. My mom put peanut butter on or in almost everything, she was a picky eater growing up and lived on it. Audrey S. Guest guest
I ate so much peanut butter as a kid that I have to really be in a mood for it. LOL I had a rare moment today though I do like organic peanut butter with apple slices and raisins, both Darian and I snarf that up. He will even eat celery that way. Those are a kid friendly treat I still very much enjoy. ~Tee - Audrey Snyder Wednesday, April 01, 2009 9:00 AM Re: kid friendly oatmeal Congrats on approval from the kiddo! Guest guest
Hey Tee...... As the mother of seven and grandmother of 12, I can tell you when you can make something that healthy that your child or children love........you are doing a fantastic job!! Way to go!! Nancy C. I just made a breakfast that my little absolutely loved! (which is hard unless meat is involved...sigh) He wanted oatmeal, eggs, bacon, and peanut butter toast. So I thought what if I just bypass the meat and eggs, make a large pot of oatmeal (old fashioned), and add the peanut butter to that with some homemade raspberry syrup I had left over from pancakes last weekend. It was wonderful! I didn't add it directly to the pot in case it didn't work, what I did was get a big scoop of peanut butter scoop some hot oatmeal over it, mix it really well then top it with the raspberry syrup. Darian snarfed that stuff up and even I (who is not a big peanut butter and jelly fan) liked it. Good cheap and the kiddo loved it!
