Original recipe (good but not good for you)

1 pound butter (softened)

3 pounds powdered sugar

4 cups peanut butter

2 T Vanilla

1 pound Chocolate chips and 1/2 cake of wax for coating

Mix Peanut butter with Vanilla

Add Butter then powdered sugar

Mix Well

Roll into nickel sized bon bons

1/2 Cake Wax

Add chips

melt in double boiler

dip bon bons

put on wax paper to cool

____________ ____

This is how I made mine (half as many as above)

1/4 pound (1 stick) vegan butter sub

1/2 pound of powdered sugar

1/4 cup corn starch

2 cups peanut butter

2 cup puffed rice cereal (1 cup whole 1 cup ground)

3 T agave

2 T good vanilla

I used good dark chocolate and some shortening instead of the wax

I think mine are just as good as the original (my grandmother' s recipe) and

less than half the calories and fat.

Enjoy

very dangerous :|  I ate a few too many and my blood sugar was crazy for a

couple days - I had to give most of mine away - they're not even safe hidden in

the freezer because frozen they are even better :)))

I have a dear friend who makes these every Christmas (along with at

least 15 other different kinds of cookies). They are wonderful - as Meg

says, why does everything not good for you taste so darn good?!
