Guest guest
Hello Kathy and Group. For myself and other newbies, Will you explain TVP Amelia Jacobs Cape Breton - Kelly Best Tuesday, March 17, 2009 7:04 AM Re: Main Dishes Kathy - I've been vegetarian now since May '08. My family is still meat eaters, so I have become creative. I do still often feel like I'm eating only the sides. I made wonderful spaghetti with TVP Sunday that the family loved. They didn't know it was not gr. beef. I also made mock chicken enchiladas with TVP last week. As others have said the meat substitutes are great. My kids love the veg corn dogs and chicken patties Even Walmart carries these. I can tell you that I feel so much healthier with less digestive issues since I've been meat free. We would still be in caves if we didn't branch and and try new things, create and experiment. The worst thing that will happen is you will love them or maybe not. Buy frozen Crumbles, Quorn and Boca have them. Donna the Evil Kneivel of foods in the kitchen. Is that what you use? I've never used it before and I'm still a little afraid to!! , Kelly Best <bests4him wrote: > > TVP is texurized vegetable protein. I usually get the unflavored crumbles. I've had it for probably 6 months, anyone know what kind of shelf life it has? I've used the frozen crumbles in lasagne etc and my family didn't know any different.
