Tee,

You'll have to share your mom's recipe with us. Donna's is good too. It's

always nice to have the different variations in similiar recipe to make and

enjoy.

A really delicious way to enjoy dates, is to take whole pitted date, slice

them down thru the center, almost all the way thru and then stuff them with

whole almonds, walnut or pecans halves. You can also stuff them with cream

cheese that you've added some chopped nuts to. Dates are loaded with potassium

and fiber.

Ok, I just shuddered at the thought. My mother would love you! LOL She pops

them like candy, she loves dates too, something else I have a hard time with,

though I'll eat those before a prune. :) I try, I promise I try, I just

can't......

I'll see her later this week and see if I can't get it from her. I have been

putting together a family cook book for years now and I love adding new stuff. I

had totally forgotten about the date nut bread until it was mentioned here.
