Audrey,

No place close to me carries any of the Quorn products, but the odd thing is

that I was shopping in our closest local supermarket and (twice, now) have

found 2 or 3 " random " boxes of the Quorn " naked cutlets " .  It happened once

last winter and just recently I found 2 more boxes in the frozen case--marked

WAY down.  I bought both.

I have no idea why they were so deeply discounted.  I am pretty sure they

are

not allowed legally to sell anything that's been " spoiled " in any way...I've

already

eaten a couple of the cutlets and I think my DH has had some also.  What I've

had was good and I've lived to tell of it--LOL!

Since that store NEVER carries anything (officially) except a few of the

Boca

and a few of the Morningstar veggie products, I suspect those packages of Quorn

cutlets were specially-ordered for someone who didn't take the whole (maybe a

case)

order.  I haven't asked anyone at the store if that's true, but maybe sometime I

will.

The several packages of Quorn cutlets that I did get, however, will last us

quite a

long time.  My DH isn't wild about Quorn cutlets just yet, and for me, they are

a

once-a-week treat that I save for the one or two days/evenings in a week when my

DH's work takes him out of town and he has his main meal elsewhere.  He eats

" out "

whatever he likes then, and at home, I often break out the Quorn cutlets or

maybe a

Boca Italian sausage or brat--neither of which DH will touch.  I enjoy them--I

just wish

the more numerous (U.K.) Quorn products were also available here in the States!

(BTW, I have heard so much about the " canned " hotdogs that I would love to

try

them sometime.  I have not ever seen them anywhere, including at Whole Foods in

St. Louis.  Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place.  I'm leery of the frozen

soy corn

dogs--it's the corn, not the " dog " part that bothers me.  I get the hankering

for a really

GOOD hot dog sometimes and wish a veggie one were available somewhere.  Of

course,

the idea of what makes a hotdog " good " no doubt is an individual preference,

anyway.

Same with faux " ham " and other food items.)

I think my brain is falling asleep--It's too late for me to make sense as I

type!

    Blessings and peace!

love every Quorn product I've tried, I need to look on their website to see

if they sell " ham " in the US (blocked at work now). I like the Light LIfe or

Smart Life (don't know which it's called, I get them mixed up) lunch meat

slices, and they have fake ham, which I haven't tried. By the way -- if you

go to their website and sign up, they'll send you their newsletter thingy

with coupons! Just got it the other day.
