Guest guest
Hi Mandy - No need to be sorry, I put it together! I was about to ask you where you found your Walker's bacon crisps (and wondering what they were, thinking they were something like bacon bits) and then thought about the word " crisps " and saw " uk " in your email address... and realized that I probably wouldn't be able to find that brand in the US. Good, crisp, kettle-cooked, barbecue potato chips can satisfy a barbecue craving for me faster and easier than going home and making bbq Quorn (but not as healthy!). I don't know if you have Morningstar Farms in the UK. Website: http://www.morningstarfarms.com/. Even if you don't, I will find it hard to be sorry for you -- as you all have more Quorn products than we can even imagine here! If I had to choose between having access to Quorn, Morningstar Farms or Boca, I'd choose Quorn! Worthington brand also has fake bacon, it's owned by Kelloggs, same as Morningstar Farms. I have heard that Quorn has fake ham in the UK (but not here). I think LightLife might have fake bacon in their refigerated section. Their website: www.lightlife.com. I've also seen recipes for tempeh bacon... maybe somebody else has made it? The only way I really ever cared for real bacon was in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich (with peanut butter AND mayo) and my fake stuff works perfectly for that! Hope you find something really good and tell us about it! Audrey S. On Tue, Jun 9, 2009 at 8:30 AM, Mandy . <mandy2uk wrote: > > > I am indeed in the UK... Guest guest
I'd offer to send you a few packets of Walker's smokey bacon crisps but they probably wouldn't make the journey in one piece! lol Thank you for Morningstar's URL... I'll have a look around when I've sent this off to you! ) You're free to have as much of our Quorn as you want 'cos I just find it so tasteless!! lol It sounds like we should both swap countries as the UK has things that you want and America has things I want! lol
