Hi Muzaffer,

Yes, I do know hummus and I like it very much. I usually buy it from a

grocery store, it is pretty easy to find here. I'll have to try your recipe,

though, I'm sure it's better than store-bought! Falafel is harder to find

here, and not many people seem to know what it is.

When I was 15 years old, I worked for a Christian Palestinian couple who

owned a sandwich shop. They introduced me to hummus, falafel, baba ganoush,

tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves (they did not call them dolmas like the

Greeks, I don't remember what they did call them), and good lentil soup. I

wish I had some of their recipes! They made falafel once a week at the shop;

it was a real treat!

Thanks for the recipe! :)

Dear Audrey,

You are right, the homeland of Hummus Falafel ..... ect, is Palestine, you are

so lucky that you got high experince from expert couple, where was that you

worked for a Christian Palestinian couple? was that at Palestine? or any other

place?

In fact these kinds of dishes are famoues in the Middle East region, Syria Lebon

Paletine... I wish if I can have the chance to meet like couple to open food

shop here in Istanbul, I am sure they cook very lovely foods and light sandwichs

shop. Hummus, falafel, baba ganoush and tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves(Dolma

here in Turkey) are all our weekly food which we prepare at home.

When you think to visit Istanbul, then you are welcome to have all those lovely

dishes with us.

Wish you and all friends bright sunny & lovely spring days.

Love & warm hugs

Muzo
