I'll have to try your recipe, though, I'm sure it's better than store-bought! Falafel is harder to find here, and not many people seem to know what it is. When I was 15 years old, I worked for a Christian Palestinian couple who owned a sandwich shop. They introduced me to hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves (they did not call them dolmas like the Greeks, I don't remember what they did call them), and good lentil soup. I wish I had some of their recipes! They made falafel once a week at the shop; it was a real treat! Thanks for the recipe! Audrey S. In fact these kinds of dishes are famoues in the Middle East region, Syria Lebon Paletine... I wish if I can have the chance to meet like couple to open food shop here in Istanbul, I am sure they cook very lovely foods and light sandwichs shop. Hummus, falafel, baba ganoush and tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves(Dolma here in Turkey) are all our weekly food which we prepare at home.
